President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo is currently at the Northern part of the country for a three-day tour of the Northern, North East, and Savanna regions.
In expectation, the president is to commission projects, cut sod for the commencement of new projects and visit some traditional authorities in the Northern sectoral regions.
In an image sited on social media, the president Akufo addo was seen granting an interview to Pad radio in the North East region seen in his presidential chair at the radio station.
Fellow Ghanaians are not happy with that saying the President’s posture signifies ‘dictatorship’.
Others have contended that it doesn’t add up for a presidential chair to be moved all the way from the Jubilee House in Accra to the Northern part of the country.
Others too have said that it is right for security and Covid reasons.
Some comments are below:
Francis Kennedy Ocloo: “Not even did Mobutu think of doing this, you carry your office chair which is not yours but government from Accra to the North East region for an interview in a radio station?”
Iam-AKwei Poloo : “He doesn’t want to touch any Covid infected furniture. This one like me myself I go do.”
Akorfa Okudjeto: “In this covid 19 era di3 its good la. Like me self I go carry my floor mat add.”
Maku Matey : “Every president carried theirs.I experienced one.Dogs were sent to the studios by soldiers to smell all equipment before the president came in.That was 2016.”
