International Women’s Day: Let’s Push For Greater Reforms That Protect Women From All Forms of Violence- Lordina Mahama

Lordina Mahama, the former first lady of the Republic of Ghana in acknowledgement of the celebration of the International Women’s day has made certain profound assertion with regards to gender equality and women’s protection in today’s society.

According to Lordina Mahama, women must continue to push for “greater” reforms as part of arrangements to promote the interest of women and protect women against all forms of abuse from men in society.

She made this call during the celebration of the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021. The International Women’s Day is annual celebration marked on the 8 of March.

Is a day set aside to celebrate the achievements of women and raise awareness about gender equality as it forms the focal point in the movement for women’s rights.

In a statement #ChooseToChallenge, Lordina Mahama intimated, “In acknowledgement of the theme for #IWD2021, ‘Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world’, we must, together, recognize the tremendous efforts of female doctors, nurses, caregivers, scientists and researchers, in the battle against the pandemic.
